A Literary Gallery to Close the Year

The American Literature classes recently wrapped up their final unit with an engaging and creative project centered on iconic literary works. Students explored classics by renowned authors such as Mark Twain, William Faulkner, Jack London, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Alice Walker, and Ursula K. Le Guin, strengthening their reading comprehension and analytical skills along the way.

As part of the unit, students also researched the authors and their respective literary movements. To showcase their learning, they designed visually appealing posters inspired by the stories they studied. These were displayed in a gallery-style exhibition, transforming the classroom into an interactive literary space.

During the gallery walk, students not only explored each other’s work but also demonstrated their listening and speaking skills by discussing their creative processes and explaining key elements of the texts. This dynamic activity served as an interactive and meaningful closure to a successful year of learning.
